Google has released its third festive doodle that wishes everyone a Merry Christmas. A part of its Tis the Season! series, the new doodle shows a banner with the Google logo decorated with a mistletoe and fir ranches above a green door.
Unlike the last two doodles, the new Christmas Doodle is accompanied by a video. It starts as the door opens and a lady walks out with her suitcase on a snowy day, she later transforms into a man skating with a backpack, hinting he is on his way to meet a loved one. He later turns into a man with a backpack on a Segway. From bicycle and car to cable car ride and ship, the video shows several modes of transport and people travelling to meet their dear ones for Christmas.
While showing the haste to meet a dear one, the video is all about goodwill and captures the spirit of festivity. It ends as an old man with a dog rings the bell of the same door to meet a dear one.
Earlier this week, Google kickstarted the first day of festive season with a simple doodle sans any animation, game or video, showing smiling children waving out from a sledge. It was soon followed by an animated doodle showing a man with suitcase skiing, probably on his way back home or to meet a loved one for the festive season
